About this website

This website is operated by the Broidy Park Splash Pad Society, a registered society in Pictou, Nova Scotia, working to build a splash pad at Broidy Park.

It exists to explain the project, introduce the volunteers behind it, thank the people who have supported it, and let you get in touch, volunteer or donate.

Information on the site

We try to keep everything here accurate and current, but this is a volunteer-run project and pages may fall behind. Nothing on the site is a promise about what will be built, when it will open, or what it will cost.

Figures about funds raised, timelines and plans reflect our best understanding at the time they were written, and may change as the project progresses.

Donations

Donations made through this site are processed by Square on their own secure pages. We never see or store your card details. Square’s own terms and privacy policy apply to that part of the transaction.

Donations support the splash pad project and the work of the Society. Tax receipts are issued in line with the note on our Donate page. If you have any question about a donation, please contact us.

We cannot generally reverse a donation once it has been made, but if something has gone wrong, get in touch and we will do what we can to put it right.

Sponsor and supporter listings

We name sponsors and supporters on this site with their agreement. If you are listed and would rather not be, or your details are wrong, tell us and we will change or remove the entry.

Your submissions

When you use the contact or volunteer forms, please send only what is needed. Do not send confidential or sensitive personal information through them.

Do not use the forms to send unlawful, abusive or misleading content, or to attempt to interfere with the site.

Content and copyright

The text, photographs and design on this site belong to the Broidy Park Splash Pad Society or are used with permission. Sponsor logos remain the property of their owners.

You are welcome to share and link to our pages to help the project. Please do not reproduce our photographs of identifiable people elsewhere without asking us first.

Other websites

We link to other sites — sponsors, the Town of Pictou, our social media, and our donation provider. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.

Availability

We provide this site as it is. We do not guarantee it will always be available or error free, and we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it, so far as the law allows.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nova Scotia and the laws of Canada that apply there.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
